Department of Pediatrics has a well equipped NICU, PICU, Private and general wards.
It has state of art, Level 3 NICU with ventilators including high frequency ventilators, bedside X-RAY machine ,bedside ultrasonography ,bedside echocardiography, LED phototherapy units, transport incubators and facility of transcutaneous bilirubinometer which can reflect the level of bilirubin without pricking the baby.
PICU is also well equipped with ventilators, monitors and bedside USG,XRAY facility.

ORS WEEK CELEBRATION.
Department of Pediatrics conducted a CME entitled “ Management of Diarrheal Diseases in Children ” on 29th July Monday 2019 to celebrate world ORS day and ORS week . The CME was inaugurated by Our Honourable Director Prof A.K Tripathi. Dr Dipti Agarwal welcomed the guest speakers and audience. Prof Ujjal Poddar, Head Department of Pediatric Gastroenterology SGPGI spoke on “ EVOLUTION OF ORS FROM HYPER TO HYPO ” . Dr Shrish Bhatnagar a renowned pediatric gastroenterologist and head department of pediatrics Era medical college ,lucknow enlightedened on “ ROLE OF ANTIBIOTICS AND PROBIOTICS IN DIARRHEA. ” Dr Piyali Bhattacharya consultant pediatrician SGPGI and UP President Indian Academy Of Pediatrics had conducted an interactive session on “ CASE BASED MANAGEMENT OF DIARRHEA ” Dr Shetanshu Srivastav thanked the audience and the eminent speakers. The programme was conducted by Dr. KK Yadav and Dr Neha Rai.
Departement of Pediatrics had also organised an awareness programme in the OPD complex on ORS prepration and it’s utility in Diarrhoea.

BNRCP workshop cum training.
Training course of basic neonatal resuscitation was conducted under – Dr Dipti Agarwal on -11-8-2019 from 11 am to 7.30 pm. Dr Piyali Bhattacharya, Dr Shetanshu Srivastava, DrAbhishek Bansal, Dr Rajeev Thapar and Dr Dipti Agarwal were the instructors.There were30 participants. The training was conducted in miniauditorium of Dr Ram Manohar LohiaInstitute of Medical Sciences. The training began with registration of the candidates wheretheir details were noted in the preformed format. The candidates thereafter gave written pretest which was followed by precourse performance evaluation with instructors. This wasfollowed by a short inauguration of the event by the Director of Dr Ram Manohar LohiaInstitute of Medical Sciences,Prof. AK Tripathi. The five skill stations were conductedslowly and well practiced by the participants .Basic mega code was demonstrated by DrPiyali and Dr Abhishek. Participants gave very good feedback of the training and mentionedthat they benefitted the from the training.

7TH MAY: WORLD ASTHMA DAY CELEBRATION.
Department of Pediatrics organised CME cum awareness programme on 7th may on the occcasion of world asthma day celebration. It was inaugrated by the chief guest Prof AK Tripathi (honourable Director of RMLIMS) and guest of honour Prof Rajendra Prasad (EX director VP Chest institute,New Delhi). The CME was attended by pediatricians from lucknow, Faculty from Ram manohar lohia Institute Of Medical sciences and state medical colleges. Awareness programme was attended by more than 100 children . Dr Dipti Agarwal spoke on lung function test. Dr Shetanshu srivastav discussed case based diagnosis and management of asthma. Dr KK Yadav spoke on the epidemiology and discussed the risk factors of asthma. Dr Neha Thakur had conducted the CME.
