Department of Biomedical Engineering
Introduction
Biomedical engineering is a discipline that advances knowledge in engineering, biology and medicine, and improves human health through cross-disciplinary activities that integrate the engineering sciences with the biomedical sciences and clinical practice. Some of the well-established specialty areas within the field of biomedical engineering are bioinstrumentation, biomechanics, biomaterials, systems physiology, clinical engineering, and rehabilitation engineering.

Specialities
“Training is more necessary for Biomedical Engineers as theory cannot be understood well without doing practicals you may learn all the facts given in the book but you can never practically apply them and innovate in those things.”
Here we are conducting theory class for students so that they can learn the basic working principle of medical equipments. Then they visit the various departments where they can observe the working of machines. Students are giving presentations at the end of the training. They have to submit report on training describing the detail of each machine that they have seen in the departments. Attendance of students is also maintained.
Because of this training their technical ability and initiative will definitely enhance.
